Credits & legal
New Game+ uses geographic and climate datasets with attribution requirements. This page summarizes those credits and preserves the complete source notices distributed with the game.
Source maps inherited from the OpenFront map generator are licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0. Attribution and share-alike terms apply when the game is distributed with them.
Greece, Yugoslavia, USA and Egypt were built for New Game+ using Natural Earth 1:10m vectors (public domain) and AWS Open Data Terrain Tiles. Terrain credits include SRTM and GMTED2010 data courtesy of the U.S. Geological Survey, Global ETOPO1 data from NOAA, and—for European maps—Copernicus-funded EU-DEM layers.
Climate data for Switzerland, Greece, Yugoslavia, USA and Egypt derives from Beck et al., “Present and future Köppen-Geiger climate classification maps at 1-km resolution,” Scientific Data 5, 180214 (2018), doi:10.1038/sdata.2018.214; data doi:10.6084/m9.figshare.6396959, licensed CC BY 4.0. Climate classes were converted into moisture values, reprojected and smoothed.
Egypt’s optional real-map colour data derives from NASA Blue Marble Next Generation imagery by Reto Stöckli, NASA Earth Observatory, served by NASA GIBS. The imagery was reprojected and modified for the game’s terrain grid.

These unmodified text files are copied from the game project so exact layers, transformations, projections and map-specific credits remain available.

This website sets no cookies and includes no analytics or advertising trackers. For online play, Caddy and the relay record connection IP addresses and operational metadata in the system journal. Current server policy caps journal storage at 200 MB and one month. The relay keeps only the last five minutes of turn data in memory and loses it on restart.
No public support channel or status page is currently operated. The relay health endpoint checks the TLS proxy only, not match availability. Online service availability and capacity are not guaranteed.
